ABOUT THIS TRAINING LOG
I kept a paper training journal when I was younger; I still have most of those notes today and it is fun for me to re-read them.
Since taking up triathlon, I thought it would be a good idea to start writing things down again but instead of paper, I created this digital format.
RELEVANCY
- Those embarked on their own similar journey and want to read about my process.
- My boss who may be wondering "the real reason" we are getting too close to our project's deadline.
- Most importantly, this training log is relevant for me, as a record my experiences, the hurdles I face, the victories won and importanly, the bonds formed along the way.

HOW IT WORKS
As a computer programmer, I thought it'd be fun to write my own journaling system. This system takes the date of my next big race and works back from there.
A simple text file is generated for every week leading up to that race. With that weekly text file, I jot down a weekly goal, a summary, post a photo or two and document the daily workouts.
As I add things thoughout the week, the system converts the text file into a webpage host on this site.
The two most important weeks are always my CURRENT and PREVIOUS weeks of training. Quick links to both of those webpages are updated as well.
I also have a handy CALENDAR that gives me a overview of time invested, time remaining until my next race.
